Villa Greta Hotel Rooms & Suites - Taormina

Fine views from every angle stole the show for me at Villa Greta. The room had a private balcony that overlooked Mount Etna and the coastline, offering a good space to unwind. The staff were cute and always ready to help. The breakfast spread was delicious, with fresh options each morning. The numerous steps leading up to the hotel could be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. Parking options were limited, made things a bit tricky for arriving guests. A heating issue also needed addressing, as my room was chilly upon arrival. Despite these issues, the overall ambiance and clean facilities were great.

The position was lovely, although good mobility is essential as there are many steps, and access could be a problem unless you have your own transport. However taxis are readily available. Many rooms have spectacular views from the balcony over the town of Taormina to the sea and the mountains beyond. We had a fantastic view of Mount Etna errupting one night. The food was excellent for evening dinner, with a wide variety of dishes which were 'home' cooked to a very high standard, and the restaurant was open until late in the evening. Breakfast was a little disappointing with limited variety and when it was gone E.G. fresh fruit salad, it was not always replenished. We were made very welcome and would go back there again.

There was nothing about the hotel that we were not happy about.

The hotel was wonderful and fairly clean with great views of sea and volcano. I had well-equipped and attractive superior room. The breakfast was delicious and sensational with a good choice of outstanding eggs and cheese. I loved 2 nights there.

Just spent 3 nights at Villa Greta-the views are unreal from our balcony! Room was super clean and cozy. The staff were great, even sending back a shirt we left behind. Just be ready for the uphill walk after dinner!

Bra beliggenhet. Fantastisk utsikt. Kun en liten km a ga til sentrum. Lett a parkere i gata pa oversiden av hotellet. Hotellet ogsa to parkeringsplasser med lasbar port pa nedsiden. Egen inngang til hotellet herfra. Hyggelig personalet og noe enkel, men god frokost.

Veldig harde senger. Savnet et lite kjøleskap på rommet.

Good, clean hotel in a beautiful, living mediterranean garden. The lady at the reception speaks English perfectly. Very kind staff! Breathtaking view from the restaurant to the Etna and the sea. Highly recommended!

A bit far from the city center if you would like to walk. 20 min down/up from/to the hill. Only for sporty tourist. Tired ones can take a small orange bus from/to the city center almost every hour...

enjoy fine views and easy access to taormina's charm

The suite was very comfortable and exactly as pictured, and it was just a short stroll to the Ancient Theatre of Taormina and the beautiful nearby parks where you can soak in the local atmosphere. The only downside was that the bathroom could use some modern updates.

It was our second visit of Taormina and from that reason we appreciated steep aisles and steps...it makes that Taormina is the rare place...The hotel has the extraordinary location. You can admire the whole bay and the Etna mount from the terraces and restaurant. Our room and bathroom were spacious. We could sit on the large terrace every evening.

We were staying there for two nights and every morning we had breakfast of different quality. The second morning the quality and quantity of breakfast were good. The first day the breakfast was served like for 1,5 people and no for pair and there was a lack of fruit juice...

Peaceful and beautiful location just outside busy Piazza Armerina. Historical building tastefully arranged. Great and very nice staff and excellent sicilian cuisine. Only with car.

Our suite was clean, comfortable, and had fine views of the sea and Mount Etna. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even allowing us a later check-in after our travel issues. Breakfast was good, with fresh options and a amazing panoramic view, made mornings special.

WiFi could be more reliable.

The view is really amazing. We had a nice terrasse with view to the see and the Etna. When we arrived, we were surprised, because it seemed far away from the beach and center, but there are small pathes, where you can reach easily everything.

Above all an outstanding sea and Etna view, a good welcome and breafast and a fantastic value for money (it was november!)

The view from the balcony is beautiful! We were there during an lovely sunrise , watching Etna in the distance. It was like we were on top of the world.

It was a bit expensive , but worth it for the experience.

Hotel Villa Greta has an excellent location and excellent views of Mount Etna and sea. Taormina is within walking distance. Ideal for those travelling by car with private parking. The family running the Hotel is very friendly and helpful. The Hotel restaurant provides excellent typical Sicilian food accompanied by local wine and breathtaking views.This was our second time at Hotel Villa Greta and definately not the last.

Highly recommend in many ways. One of the best reasonable priced hotels in Taormina. Cars (which our group had 4 cars) can be parked on the road free of charge and it is safe.
